VISION

Rise Church exists to invite all people to explore and follow Jesus to bring life to the brokenness in ourselves, our city, and the world.

VALUES

1. Scripture. We live in the story of Jesus.

We are made to be part of God’s story. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus, we are made new and are continually being transformed into the fullness of life in Christ. We root our identity, message, and mission in the finished work of Jesus.

2. Mission. We live on everyday mission with Jesus.

We are made for a purpose. We equip and empower all people to discover and employ their gifts and passions for Jesus's everyday mission in their neighborhood, workplace, and the world. We desire to see more than a church planted. Our prayer is to start a movement of leaders deployed and churches planted throughout the city of Portland, the state of Maine, and the region of New England.

3. Wholeness. We live into the rhythms of Jesus through emotionally healthy spirituality in community.

Following Jesus on mission in everyday life is a challenge. Therefore we cultivate Jesus’ rhythms of rest, spiritual formation, and relational health in community. We embrace the Anglican way of worship and formation found in the confluence of Four Streams: Scripture, Spirit, Sacred, and Sent.
